Q : Where
do most of your students come from?
A : Most of our new students fit into one of these categories: 1.People who finished STPM or Mass Communication's matriculation and want to switch to the creative side. 2.People who are tired of being "wrists". 3.Career changers who have never done an ad before in their lives. 4.Recent college grads who realize they need more specialized training than their school could offer. |
Q : What,
exactly, do Creatives do?
A : They concept ads as a team of an art director and a copywriter. This process may include one or more of the following: painstaking research, writing, focus groups, animation movies, visualizing, perspiring, sketching, staying up all night until an epiphany hits and/or Mamak food. |
Q : What
is the salary range?
A : Your starting salary will depend on several factors: The size of the agency that wants to hire you, the cost of living in the city you're interviewing in, and most importantly, the strength of your knowlege. Keeping all this in mind, you can expect a range from RM 1800 and above. Forget about the money—you'll make plenty before you die. |
Q : What's
the difference between an art director and a copywriter?
A : Art directors dress better. Also, art directors are primarily responsible for the overall look of the ad and the copywriter handles the writing part. This, however, doesn't mean that theart director shouldn't think of headlines and the writer can't think of a visual. |
